Dale, an eccentric, self-declared failure as a poet played by Williams, and Jack, a successful attorney portrayed by Crystal, meet under strange circumstances. Colette, who was romantically involved with both men at different times seventeen years ago, has phoned both Dale and Jack, informing each that they are the father of her sixteen year old son. Her son has run away from home and Colette was hoping that either man would help find him and bring him back home.
Williams and Crystal hook up and make a very odd couple in search of their son. Who's the real father? You'll have to see the movie to find out.
From the visually impaired point of view, this movie had lots of dialogue which was pretty easy to follow. There were lots of quick one-liners though, and you will have to stay on your toes to catch them all. The audience laughed a number of times from silly antics and funny faces that I knew I was missing but couldn't do much about. There was not enough time to get descriptions. The picture did not have many abrupt changes, which was good. However, there were at least three scenes with just music, where I needed running descriptions from my sighted assistant.
There were just too many important visuals that I missed to give this movie any more than a rating of 6. I still enjoyed the movie thoroughly, however, and will strongly encourage you to check it out.
